Of Leaves and Music

Media used: Photograph of me, Photoshop high contrast, project on canvas, pencil tracing, acrylic paint and sharpie marker.

Processes: I first started to shoot a photo of me, then imported it to my computer, then I used Photoshop to high contrast the photo. I projected it on my canvas, then I used a pencil to trace myself. I painted myself in black and white. I used the sharpie marker to make the musical notes and leaves, then I used the blue paint to fill in the left side, and the red paint to fill in the right side. I filled in the leaves with green paint, and finally I used the sharpie marker to write my signature.

Techniques: I filled in the spots carefully with black. I used a thin brush for the majority, but then I used a medium brush for the background.

Critique: The two things I liked about this was making pop art for the first time because I never done it before, and I liked painting the background. The one thing I would like to change is that I would like to change my colour from white to purple (with the exception of my eye) because I like purple.
